Laca Hostel

Laca Hostel is a hostel in District 1 of Ho Chi Minh City, on Bui Vien street, with dormitory beds, private rooms and holiday homes with kitchens. Its range runs from a single bunk in a six-bed mixed dormitory to a three-bedroom house sleeping up to 14, so it suits solo backpackers, couples and larger groups travelling together.

Every room has air conditioning, soundproofing and a terrace with a city view. Private bathrooms come with the Quadruple Room, the Three-Bedroom House and the Holiday Homes, while the mixed dormitory room shares its bathroom with other guests. Kitchens with a stovetop, a refrigerator and an electric kettle come in every 48 m² room, and the garden, sun terrace and outdoor dining area are shared by guests.

The property has a concierge, daily housekeeping, laundry and 24-hour security, along with a safety deposit box and express check-in and check-out. Tours or classes about local culture and bike tours are on offer, and board games and puzzles are available for evenings in.

The six room types at Laca Hostel run from dormitory beds to self-contained holiday homes, and every one has air conditioning, soundproofing and a terrace with a city view. A single bunk sits in the 27 m² six-bed mixed dormitory, while the 48 m² mixed dormitory room adds a kitchen and a shared bathroom with a shower. The Quadruple Room sleeps four on two bunk beds, with a private bathroom and shower.

The larger units suit groups and families. The Three-Bedroom House sleeps up to 14 guests across three bedrooms, each with a bathroom, while the two Holiday Homes sleep up to 8 and up to 10 guests in two bedrooms with two bathrooms each. Each holiday home has a kitchen and a dining table, and their beds differ: four extra-large double beds in one, three bunk beds and two extra-large double beds in the other.

Free WiFi covers all areas of the property, and internet services are available to guests. The concierge service, daily housekeeping, laundry and 24-hour security are in place, and there is a safety deposit box as well as express check-in and check-out. Parking is not available at the property, and upper floors are reached by stairs only.

Outdoor spaces include a garden, a sun terrace, outdoor furniture and an outdoor dining area. The property offers tours or classes about local culture and bike tours, and board games and puzzles for quieter evenings. Pets are allowed on request, and there are no extra charges.

Laca Hostel is on Bui Vien street, the backpacker street of District 1, so the bars, cafés and restaurants of the street are on the doorstep. Beer 102 Bui Vien and Havana Club - Bui Vien are both 50 m away, and several other restaurants line the same stretch. For a quieter break, September 23 Park is 250 m away and the Chùa Phước Hậu pagoda is 200 m, both a few minutes' walk from the hostel.

Tan Son Nhat International Airport is 5.5 km away and Saigon Railway Station is 2.3 km, a journey best made by taxi. The Bến xe buýt Sài Gòn bus station is 400 m from the hostel, and Ben Thanh Station is 650 m away, both within a short walk. Taxis are the usual choice for the airport, and the walk to the bus station takes only a few minutes.

Within walking distance are the markets and sights of the centre. Thai Binh Market is 450 m away, Ben Thanh Market 800 m, and Independence Palace 1.1 km, while the War Remnants Museum is 1.3 km away. Ben Thanh Market is the place for street food and souvenirs, and the palace grounds make a good stop for the city's modern history. The Museum of Ho Chi Minh City and the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Museum make a full museum afternoon.
